The purpose of this section is to provide the most straightforward answers to the various questions concerning clinical practice and diseases. For the sake of clarity, wherever possible, we shall attempt to maintain homogeneity between the various clinical situations described: definition, origin, clinical presentation, complications, diagnosis and laboratory tests, as well as therapy.
Obviously we cannot cover each of these areas in full, and we shall therefore limit ourselves to providing perspective about the role of laboratory tests in medical situations involving the fields of haemostasis and thrombosis. New chapters will be added to this section over time.
